Three Important Questions

1. Why are you a pastor?
"The simple answer is I was called.  I believe God touched my life while I was in high school and burdened me to give my life to serving the church.  He could have led me to be a musician, a teacher, a politician or a bus driver.  We need committed believers doing all those things.   But He directed me to do this for a living, so I'm going to give Him all I have.  At times it is difficult, but the reward of seeing God change lives makes it worth any sacrifice.

2.  Isn't church and religion irrelevant in today's culture?
"Religion often is irrelevant.  But religion shouldn't be confused with faith.  Faith opens our eyes while religion often encourages us to close them so we follow blindly.  This  mistake has led many to distrust the church as a "religious" establishment that simply exists to perpetuate itself.  Unfortunately, that is an accurate description of a lot of churches.  But that doesn't mean all churches are that way or that that is the way they are intended to be.  Churches are supposed to be the body of Christ and act on His behalf in the world.  Where the church has often gone wrong is when they neglect the "being" part and simply begin doing.  In the short run, everything looks all right, but under the surface, real needs are neglected and people become disconnected or burned out.  Without relationships, the "being" part that binds people to Christ and each other, the church can become irrelevant, something Bible never intended."

2. Why Four Seasons Community Church?
"Four Seasons is a congregation that is trying really hard to get it right.  We certainly aren't perfect, but we are doing our best.  We trust in the Bible.  We value relationships.  We work at being consistent and we believe we can make a difference.  We welcome questions and believe we will never stop learning.  We have experienced the power of God to change lives and we welcome everyone who wants to go on this journey with us.  I encourage anyone who want to know more to explore the "What We Believe" information on this website.  It tells people what we believe and where we are headed.  If people have specific questions they can email me.  Whether it's Four Seasons or not, I hope every person who reads this will make being a part of a body of believers a priority.   The Christian life is simply not complete apart from it."
